TED LEDFORD 

BAKERSVILLE - Ted Ledford, 72, of Jones Garland Road, died Saturday, March 31, 
2007 in Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Rube and Dovie 
Wise Ledford. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucretta Ward 
Ledford and Mae Rathbone; and five brothers, Greenbury, Lee, Earl, Leon, and 
Steve Ledford. He was a bricklayer and a lifetime fiddle player.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Putman Ledford of the home; a sister, 
Lizzie Trenton of Nebo; a brother, Bradley Ledford of Hickory; and several 
nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Church of the Lord Jesus 
Christ on Beans Creek. The Revs. G.B. Garland, Mike Peterson and Chris 
McCourry officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cane Creek Cemetery. 
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the 
church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville assisted the family.
