A native of Hickory, she was the daughter of the late Claude Albert and Mary Jane Henderson Moser, and wife of the late Joseph Wesley Mann Jr. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Moser and Alice Lemon. She was an English and history teacher for over 22 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington and the DAR. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Middleton of Bakersville, Beverley Lester of Lawrenceville, NJ and Edenton, NC, and Susan Kimbrell of Abingdon, VA; three grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lexington City Cemetery. Rev. John K. Ferree officiated. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the home.
