FRED MASTERS 

MOORESVILLE - Fred Masters, 96, of N. Broad Street, died Thursday, March 23, 
2006, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, he 
was the son of the late Henry and Americus Byrd Masters, and husband of the 
late Frankie Vaughn Masters. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers 
and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Bertie Shinn Masters; and several nieces and 
nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on March 25 in the chapel of Cavin-Cook 
Funeral Home in Mooresville. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the 
service at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on March 26 
at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Burial followed in Masters 
Cemetery in the Harrell Hill community. The family received friends from 1 p.m. 
until the service hour at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to 
Central United Methodist Church, 214 N. Academy St., Mooresville, NC 28115.
