LEE ARTHUR MCCLELLAN 

SPRUCE PINE - Lee Arthur McClellan, 84, of Dula Road, died Monday, Dec. 26, 
2005 in a Spruce Pine healthcare facility. He was the son of the late David and 
Mollie King McClellan Sr., and husband of the late Kate Washburn McClellan. He 
was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Staton; and two brothers, Fred 
and Ray McClellan. He was retired from Air Pre-Heater and had been a member of 
Grassy Creek Baptist Church for 50 years.

Survivors include two sons, J.D. McClellan of Spruce Pine, and Art McClellan of 
Chula, GA; three brothers, Bud and Roland McClellan of Spruce Pine, and David 
McClellan Jr. of Morganton; four sisters, Octavia Stamey, Nevada Woody, and Eva 
Vance, all of Morganton, and Alma Friday of Dallas, NC; four grandchildren; and 
three great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grassy Creek Baptist Church. 
Rev. Sibbald Lambert officiated. Burial was in Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens. 
The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home in 
Spruce Pine.
