WILLIE RUTH MCCULLOUGH 

AIKEN, SC - Willie Ruth McCullough, 83, of Citadel Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 
4, 2006 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center in Thomson, Ga. A native of 
Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Birdie Gouge 
Buchanan, and wife of the late William (Mack) McCullough. She was a homemaker 
and member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Caprice Leslie Bowman of Reno, Nev.; three 
sons, Jett Lavern McCullough of Warrenton, Ga., Gregory Keith McCullough of 
Primm Springs, Tenn., and William Brent McCullough of Beaverdam, Va.; two 
brothers, Melvin A. Buchanan of Winston Salem, and Dewey Buchanan Jr. of 
Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters, Jessie Hughes and Joan McKinney, both of 
Bakersville, and Bobby Nell Johnston of Fredericksburg, Texas; eight 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Green Young Cemetery in 
Bakersville. The Rev. Don Stafford officiated. Memorial donations may be made 
to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29603-
3444.
