ANNA LAURA MCKINNEY 

JOHNSON CITY, TN - Anna Laura McKinney, 95, formerly of Bakersville, died 
Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. A resident of Appalachian Christian Village, she was 
preceded in death by her husband, Roy V. McKinney; four brothers; and one 
sister. She was a former member of Bakersville Baptist Church and Otterbein 
Methodist Church, and presently a member of Unaka Avenue Baptist Church. She 
was a homemaker and a dedicated Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Cutshall, Brenda Corris, and Carol 
Slagle; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morris Baker Funeral Home 
in Johnson City. The Rev. Grant Miller officiated. Burial followed in Monte-
Vista Cemetery. The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the service 
hour Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to 
Appalachian Christian Village, 2012 Sherwood Road, Johnson City, TN. Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville assisted the family.
