ZELMA JANE MCKINNEY 

SPRUCE PINE - Zelma Jane McKinney, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 at the Brian 
Center of Spruce Pine. She was the daughter of the late James and Belle 
McKinney Woody, and wife of the late Mack McKinney. She was also preceded in 
death by a son, Michael McKinney; a daughter, Janice Conley; and four 
brothers; Floyd, Paul, Frank and Walter Woody. She managed Woody's Grocery 
Store and worked with her brothers at Woody's Chair Shop for many years.

Survivors include one brother, Arval Woody of Spruce Pine; one sister, 
Eleanora Young of Burnsville; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bear Creek Baptist Church. The 
family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Webb 
Funeral Home in Spruce Pine assisted the family.
