RALPH W. MCKINNEY 

WINSTON-SALEM - Ralph W. McKinney, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at his 
home. Born in Bakersville, he was the son of Tyra Oscar McKinney and Geneva 
Burleson McKinney. He was employed for 48 years by Good Will Publishers, Inc., 
where he served as an office manager and secretary-treasurer. He was a deacon 
at First Baptist Church in Gastonia, and later transferred to College Park 
Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in 
Gastonia and served as a past president.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Hodges McKinney of the home; a daughter, 
Linda Mathers of Winston-Salem; and a son, Fred R. McKinney of Greensboro. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at College Park Baptist Church. 
Burial was at 2:30 p.m. in Bakersville. The family received friends from 10 
a.m. until the service hour Friday at the church. Memorial donations may be 
made to Winston-Salem Rescue Mission or Winston-Salem Salvation Army.
