CLIFTON BILLY MCKINNEY 

SPRUCE PINE - Clifton Billy McKinney, 84, of McHone Road, died Saturday, Nov. 
19, 2005 at his home. A native of Little Switzerland, he was the son of the 
late Rufus and Maggie Hollifield McKinney. He was a member of Chestnut Grove 
Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia McKinney of the home; daughters, Mary 
Howell of Morganton, and Patricia Sparks, Donna Jones and Diana Cook, all of 
Spruce Pine; a son, Wayne McKinney of Marion; nine grandchildren; and four 
great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Steve Williams and David Wilcox 
officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
