EDNA TETTERS MCKINNEY 
SPRUCE PINE - Edna Tetters McKinney, 83, of the Grassy Creek community, died 
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at her home. A native of Caldwell County, she was the 
daughter of the late Jay B. and Katie Martin Tetters. She was also preceded in 
death by a brother, William B. Tetters. She was a member of Grassy Creek 
Baptist Church and active in the WMU as long as her health permitted. She 
worked at Lee Mineral and Gem Shop for over 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Campbell of Spruce Pine and Irene 
Poteat of Hickory; a stepson, Bruce McKinney of Spruce Pine; a stepdaughter, 
Florence Woody of Bakersville; three sisters, Ruth Tetters, Faith Forney and 
Barbara Castro, all of Lenoir; one brother, Ted Tetters of Lenoir; one 
grandchild; three step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and seven 
nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pine Branch Baptist Church 
Cemetery. Rev. Matthew Mills officiated. Burial followed in the church 
cemetery. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
