MARY LEE MILLER 

SPRUCE PINE - Mary Lee Miller, 84, died February 23, 2006 in the Brian Center. 
She was the daughter of the late Bud and Effie Ward Love, and wife of the late 
Harry Miller. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Miller; and a 
great grandchild. She was a retired seamstress and a life-long member of Bear 
Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Harry Miller Jr. and James Miller, both of Spruce 
Pine; a sister, Jessie Canipe of Spruce Pine; six grandchildren; 17 great 
grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Revs. 
Chris Rathbone and Howard Buchanan officiated. The family received friends from 
5:30 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Memorial donations may be made 
to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, c/o Bear Creek Baptist Church, 327 
Bear Creek Church Road, Bakersville, NC 28705.
