MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Jones Edward Mace, 11 Feb 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Jones Edward Mace, 77, of Tempie Mountain Road, 
died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at his home. He was the son of the 
late Harlan Mace and Ora Carpenter Mace McKinney. He was also 
preceded in death by brothers, Jim, Joe, Billy Joe and Bobby Joe 
Mace. A member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church, he was retired from 
Feldspar.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Rowe Mace of the home; daughters, 
Barbara McKinney of Spruce Pine, and Betty Behm of Charleston, SC; 
sons, Jimmy Mace of Morganton, and Eddie Mace of Spruce Pine; a 
sister, Mae Riddle of Marion; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Greg Hollifield and 
Ralph Hedrich officiated. Burial was in Berry Chapel Cemetery. The 
family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the 
funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell
