NEVADA BETTY MCCALL
MARION – Nevada Betty McCall, 70, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 in 
Mountain Area Hospital in Asheville. A native of Mitchell County, she 
was the daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Jane Autry McKinney, and 
wife of the late Sid McCall. She was a retired employee of Baxter 
Healthcare, Inc., and a member of Nroth Cove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Larry McCall of Marion; five daughters, Sylvia 
Robinson of Asheville, Evelyn Edwards of Glenwood, Patricia Bradley and 
Debra Gardin, both of Marion, and Cheryl Condrey of Nebo; one brother, 
Barney McKinney of Spruce Pine; four sisters, Ruby Bradshaw of Valdese, 
Corey Roper of Florence, SC, Lillian Walker of N. Wilkesboro, and Maxine 
Paige of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the McCall Memorial 
Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. Rev. Nancy Krall officiated. Burial 
followed in North Cove Cemetery. The family received friends one hour 
prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made
