IONA D. MCKINNEY 

SPRUCE PINE – Iona D. McKinney, 71, of Frontier Pines, died Wednesday, March 
14, 2001 in an Asheville hospital. She was the daughter of the late Roy and 
Marie Cox Davis, and wife of the late Buck McKinney. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Ron Polizzi of Spruce 
Pine; and grandson, Nick Polizzi of Murphy. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church 
where she was a member.  Revs. David Johnson and David Hobson officiated. The 
family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Webb 
Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
