She was the daughter of the late Wendell and Rose McKinney Slagle, and wife of the late Floyd William McKinney. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louella Burleson; a son, Dallas Delaney McKinney; a sister, Pansy Mae Greene; and brothers, Marshal Slagle and Arthur Wayne Slagle. She was a homemaker and a member of Cloudland Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Gladys Marie Hoilman of Baltimore, MD, Rose Edna Kight of Chesapeake, VA, Frances Ruth McKinney of Eldersgurg, MD; three sons, Frank, Ronald and Wayne McKinney, all of Bakersville; one sister, Doris Dellinger of Bakersville; one brother, Woodrow Slagle of Jonesboro, TN; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cloudland Baptist Church. Revs. Danny Silvers, Tommy Thomas and Daniel Honeycutt officiated. Burial followed in McKinney Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville.
