JAMES C. MCKINNEY
SPRUCE PINE - James C. "Bud" McKinney, of Berry Street, died Wednesday, 
July 24, 2002 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the 
late Graydon and Alma Lowery McKinney. He was also preceded in death 
by his brothers, Joseph (J.D.) and Robert Samuel McKinney. He attended 
Blue Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his sisters, Edith Smith of Marion, and Lucy McKinney 
of Spruce Pine.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Cephas Renfro officiated. 
Burial was in Biddix Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Friday at the funeral home.
