FRANK A. MCKINNEY
BAKERSVILLE - Frank A. McKinney, 63, of Gouge Cove Road, died Wednesday, 
Aug. 7, 2002 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the 
late Floyd and Savannah Slagle McKinney, and husband of the late Annette 
Burleson McKinney. He was a millwright and a member of Cloudland Baptist 
Church.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Cindy Visnaw and Lisa Roberson, 
both of Spruce Pine; three sisters, Gladys Hoilman and Frances McKinney 
of Maryland, and Rose Edna Knight of Virginia; and two brothers, Wayne 
and Ronald McKinney, both of Bakersville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cloudland Baptist Church. 
Revs. Danny Silvers and Tommy Thompson officiated. Burial followed in the 
church cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville.
