CHARLES A. MCKINNEY

SPRUCE PINE - Charles A. McKinney, 65, of the Estatoe community, 
died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 at his home. He was the son of the 
late Albert and Anna Mae Autrey McKinney. He was a U.S. Army 
veteran. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Briggs McKinney of the home; 
a son, Keith T. McKinney of Spruce Pine; three brothers, Robert 
McKJinney of Green Mountain, Bill McKinney of Spruce Pine, and 
Larry McKinney of Youngsville; two nephews; and four nieces.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hill 
Baptist Church. Revs. R.M. Cassity and G.E. Freeman officiated. 
Burial was the church cemetery. The family received friends from 
7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.
