HOLLIS MCKINNEY

BAKERSVILLE - Hollis McKinney, 70, of the Cub Creek Community, died 
Monday, Feb. 24, 2003 at his homein Pennsylvania. A native of Mitchell 
County, he was the son of the late Mac and Love Gardner McKinney. He 
was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Fred McKinney; 
and one sister, Nattie Lee McKinney. He owned many carwashes and was 
a member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Hanover, PA.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Sparks McKinney of the home; one son, 
Hollis McKinney Jr. of Berlin, PA; one daughter, Sharron Moore of 
Stovertown, PA; one sister, Mattie Lee Campbell of Bakersville; one 
brother, Jack McKinney of Yorktown, VA; 13 grandchildren; and nine 
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Greg Thomas officiated. Burial 
followed in the McKinney-Greene Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial 
Ave., York, PA 17403.
