MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Hannah Evelyn McKinney, 6 Apr 2005

BURNSVILLE - Hannah Evelyn McKinney, 79, of Pensacola Road, died Wednesday,
April 6, 2005 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. A native of Mitchell County,
she was the daughter of the late Jeter and Delia Masters McKinney. She was
also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Brown McKinney, and sisters,
Bertie Tipton and Hazel Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant
Grove Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include a sister, Beatrice M. Robinson of Newdale; brothers, J.B.
McKinney of Salisbury, Dean McKinney of Kingsport, TN, and Howard McKinney of
Spruce Pine; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Don Sneller officiated. Burial was at 11
a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. The family received friends
from 7 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Memorial donations may
be made to Pleasant Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery Fund, c/o Arvene
Byrd, 2506 Harrell Hill Road, Bakersville, NC 28705.
