OBIE MCCLELLAN

SPRUCE PINE - Obie McClellan, 89, of Morganton, died Wednesday, 
Oct. 22, 2003 in a Morganton hospital. He was the son of the late 
Stokes and Margaret Woody McClellan. He was also preceded in death 
by a daughter, Lottie Sue McClellan; and a son, John Wiseman. He 
was a member of River Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Woody McClellan; sons, Paul 
McClellan of Morganton; Jack McClellan of Nebo, and Obie Michael 
McClellan of Trap Hill; daughters, Pam Carswell, Rose Justice, 
Barbara Isaacs and Terry Ward, all of Morganton, Essie Ingram and 
Ann Maney, both of Nebo, Donna Chapell of Spruce Pine, Ruby Tyree 
of Newland, and Becky Weaver of Casar; and several grandchildren, 
great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in McClellan 
Cemetery. Rev. Howard Michaels officiated.
