MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Lawrence Cermit McNeill, 8 Mar 2005

SPRUCE PINE - Lawrence Cermit McNeill, 86, of Patty Lane, died Tuesday, March
8, 2005 in Oteen Hospital. He was the son of the late William (Bud) and Mary
Sours McNeill, and husband of the late Litzy McNeill. He was also preceded in
death by a sister, Edythe Massey; and a brother, Lewis McNeill. He was a U.S.
Army veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his sons, Dennis, Bill, Ed and Glenn McNeill, all of Largo,
FL; a sister, Mae Buchanan of Spruce pine; a brother, Earl McNeill of Largo,
FL; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Greg Hollifield officiated. Burial
was in Fairview Cemetery on Seven Mile Ridge Road. The family received friends
from 1 p.m. until the service hour Friday at the funeral home.
