BOBBIE JEAN MCCOURRY
BAKERSVILLE - Bobbie Jean McCourry, 69, of Hamburg Road, died Monday, 
Oct. 14, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. She was the daughter of 
the late Paul and Ola Holder Buchanan. She was also preceded in death 
by a brother, Wade Buchanan. A homemaker, she was a member of Bear 
Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harrison McCourry Jr. of the home; a 
son, Michael McCourry of Conway, SC; a sister, Argialee Hopson of 
Bakersville; a brother, Paul Buchanan of Valdese; two grandsons; and 
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Ronnie Gouge officiated. 
Burial was at 11 a.m. in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
