HAZEL MEAD

PENLAND - Hazel Ingram Mead died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 
in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of 
the late Brown and Mary Higgins Ingram. She was also 
preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Ingram.
Survivors include a son, Jim Mead of Newland; a daughter, 
Mary Miller of Spruce Pine; three brothers, Hayden Ingram 
of Morganton, Clifton Ingram of Burnsville, and Eddie Ingram 
of Newland; three sisters, Hanna Honeycutt of Wilmington, 
Cora McFee of Asheville and Ilean Ingram of Newland; and 
four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Grove 
United Methodist Church. Rev. Barry Sheppard officiated. 
Burial was in the church cemetery. The family received friends 
from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
