LORA WISE MILLER

BAKERSVILLE
Lora Wise Miller, 76, of Feldspar Street, died Friday, July 27 in Spruce Pine 
Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dave Issac and Maude 
Burleson Wise, and wife of the late Jesse Ray Miller. She was also preceded in 
death by a brother, Wayne Wise. She was a member of Roan Valley Baptist 
Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Goforth of Spruce Pine; sisters, Etta 
McKinney and Earlene Grindstaff, both of Marion; brothers, Delmar Wise of 
Johnson City, TN, and Velmar and Ray Wise both of Roan Mountain, TN; and
two grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Rose Wise and Randy Wise officiated. Burial
followed in Harris Memorial Cemetery in Avery County. The family received 
friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home.
