HELEN W. MILLER

BAKERSVILLE - Helen W. Miller, 83, of the Bear Creek community, 
died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003 in a Spruce Pine rest home. She 
was the daughter of the late George and Mary Conley Wyatt, and 
wife of the late Ed Miller. She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist 
Church, where she served as organist, WMU director, Sunday School 
teacher, Training Union teacher, and many committees.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Burleson of Bakersville; a son, 
Kenny Miller of Bakersville; four grandchildren; and eight great 
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Friday at Bear Creek Baptist 
Church. Revs. Chris Rathbone and Howard Buchanan officiated. 
Entombment was in the Bear Creek Mausoleum. The family received 
friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour Friday at the church. 
Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
