KATE MOORE
BAKERSVILLE – Kate Moore, 68, died Sunday, March 31, 2002 at Catawba 
Hospital in Hickory. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary 
McKinney, and wife of the late Bob Moore. She was also preceded in death 
by a son, Rusty Moore; and three brothers, Paul McKinney, Bruce McKinney 
and Wayne McKinney.
Survivors include three sons, Randy, Reggie and Robert Moore, all of 
Hickory; three sisters, Georgeann Cooke of Bakersville, Jolene Singer 
of Havilock, and Judy Hodge of Spruce Pine; two brothers, Walden and Bill 
McKinney, both of Baltimore, MD; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. G.B. Garland and Stokes Cook 
officiated. Burial followed in McKinney Cove Cemetery. The family received 
friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
