GLADYS KATHYRN OLLIS 

LANDIS–Gladys Kathyrn Ollis, 80, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001 in the Rowan 
Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John and Fannie 
Whyatt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Ollis, and two 
daughters, Bernice Burleson and Mary Laws. She was a homemaker and a member of 
Cane Creek Baptist Church. 

Survivors include: one daughter, Jolene Eckard; two sons, Freddie and Johnny 
Ollis; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 25 at 8 p.m. at the chapel in 
Henline-Hughes. Visitation took place for two hours prior to the service. 
Burial was in the Cane Creek Cemetery of Bakersville.
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
