MARIE OLLIS

SPRUCE PINE - Marie Ollis, 71, of Green Park Lane, died Wednesday, 
Apr. 9, 2003 in a Linville hospital. She was the daughter of the late 
Owen and Bessie Lee Matthews Asycue, and wife of the late Earl Ollis. 
She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Danny, Donald and Donnie Ollis, all of 
Spruce Pine, and David Ollis of Shelby; sisters, Sue Rynne and Mrs. 
Buddy Frances, both of Henderson, and Christie Asycue and Virgie Peer, 
both of Louisberg; a brother, Bill Asycue of Henderson; seven 
grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist 
Church. Rev. Darin Waldroup officiated. Burial was in the church 
cemetery.The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the 
church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
