LUCILLE QUINN PITTMAN 

BAKERSVILLE - Lucille Quinn Pittman, 90, of South Mitchell Avenue, died 
Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Thomas 
Kelly and Iris Hall Quinn. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, 
Rachel Hughes and Anna Lee Peterson; and one brother, Frank Quinn. She was a 
member of Bakersville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Pittman of the home; a daughter, Cecilia 
Pittman Smock of Charlotte; a son, Robert C Pittman of Manassas, Va.; sisters, 
Mary Blackwell of Ashburn, Ga., and Jean Johnson of Spruce Pine; brothers, 
Tommy Quinn of Limestone, Tenn., Dan Quinn of Spruce Pine, and Joe and Edwin 
Quinn, both of Marion; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bakersville Baptist Church. 
The Rev. Billy Stewart officiated. Burial followed in Bakersville Memorial 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. at Henline-Hughes Funeral 
Home in Bakersville. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell 
County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
