ARTHUR LEE PITMAN 

LEBANON, OH - Arthur Lee Pitman, 90, formerly of Spruce Pine, died Thursday, 
June 8, 2006. He was the son of the late Walter and Rettie English Pitman. He 
was also preceded in death by two sons, Ralph and Danny Pitman; a sister, 
Geneva Jarvis; and a half-brother, Fred Weatherman. He was a U.S. Army veteran 
of WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Weatherman Pitman of the home; a daughter, 
Mona Bailey of Lebanon; half-sister, Faye Wallen of Hickory; half-brother, 
Jaye Weatherman of Laurinburg; and seven grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Charles A. Shelton officiated. 
Burial followed in Bear Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 2 
p.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home.
