G. ESTALENE PARKER

SPRUCE PINE - G. Estalene Parker, 83, formerly of Carrollton, died 
Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. She was 
the daughter of the late Claude and Emma Stumbo Pruitt, and wife of 
the late William Parker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, 
Harold Pruitt; a stepsister, Helen Hillis; two stepbrothers, George 
and Curtis Ray; and one great grandson. A member of Carrollton First 
Baptist Church, the American Business Women's Association, and the 
Jacksonville Moose Lodge, she was retired from General Telephone 
Company, in Jacksonville, IL.
Survivors include one son, Keith Parker of Spruce Pine; two daughters, 
Karen Carmody of Springfield, IL, and Kathy Greco of Beach Park, IL; 
eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Friday at Airsman-Hires Funeral 
Home in Carrollton. Graveside rites were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
Carrollton City Cemetery. The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. 
Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the 
Alzheimer's Research Foundation
