BELLE MCBEE PARKER

SPRUCE PINE - Belle McBee Parker died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003. She was 
the daughter of the late Ed and Nellie Snyder McBee, and wife of the 
late Claude Parker. She taught school for 42 years. She was a charter 
member of Central Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, where she taught 
Sunday School for many years and was active in all phases of church 
work. She organized the first Girl Scout troop in Spruce Pine.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Parker of Spruce Pine; four 
sisters, Marjorie Pittman of Spruce Pine, Lores Whitaker of Balck 
Mountain, and Faye and Pearl McBee of Charlotte; and one brother, 
James Kirk McBee of Newton.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist 
Church. The family received frieends one hour prior to the service 
at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements.
