He was the son of the late Ken and Tempie Aldridge Pittman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Pittman. A member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church, he was retired as the owner of Cane Creek General Merchandise. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Buchanan Pittman of the home; one daughter, Anna Bell McKinney of Bakersville; two sons, Ronnie Pittman of Charlotte, and Arthur Pittman of Semarang, Indonesia; two sisters, Mary Bell Hack of Zellwood, FL and Edna Suggs of Blue Ridge, GA; one brother, Frank Pittman of Zellwood, FL; 11 grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Lee Ayers and Tony McKinney officiated. Burial followed in Cane Creek Cemetery.
