JOAN M. PITTMAN

BAKERSVILLE - Joan Meece Pittman, 65, of Guy Snyder Road, died 
Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 at her home. A native of Easley, SC, she was 
the daughter of the late Mack and Lillian Buchanan Meece. She was 
also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Wade Pittman, and Tim 
Mack Pittman; and one sister, Emily Blazer.
Survivors include her husband, Wade Pittman of the home; one son, 
Carl Eric Pittman of Hickory; two brothers, Jim Meece of Bluntville, 
TN, and Harold Meece of Johnson City, TN; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cane Creek Baptist 
Church. Revs. Jessie Smith and John Stafford officiated. Burial 
followed in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 
7-9 p.m. Monday at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville.
