ALICE FLETCHER REAVES 

SPRUCE PINE - Alice Fletcher Reaves, a long-time resident of Spruce Pine, died 
Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, while in residence at Plantation Manor Assisted Living 
in Thomasville, GA. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of 
the late Ida and Thomas Koger Fletcher, and wife of the late James R. (Jay) 
Reaves. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Koger Fletcher 
Jr. and Franklin David Fletcher. She and her husband owned and operated Office 
Supply and Equipment Company in Spruce Pine.

Survivors include three nieces and six nephews. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce 
Pine. The eulogy was given by Margaret Silver. Entombment was in Spruce Pine 
Mausoleum. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour 
Saturday at the funeral home.
