Henline-Hughes Funeral Home
Ben Louis Robinson, 85, died at his home in the Snow Hill Community on Sunday, 
May 18, 2008. He was a son of the late Geneva Jarrett Robinson and Fred H 
Robinson. 

Mr. Robinson was a Native of Mitchell County, North Carolina. He was employed 
in the Mining Industry for 42 years, serving as a Supervisor Of Mining 
Operations in Connecticut and Western North Carolina. He served as a Signalman 
in The United States Navy during World War II. As an active member of The 
Bakersville United Methodist Church, he regularly taught The Men's Sunday 
School Class.  He served on The Board of Directors of The Northwestern Bank and 
was a former member of The North Carolina Mining Commission, Bakersville Lions 
Club and North Carolina Christmas Tree Growers Association . 

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Robinson Duncan and 
brothers H. F. "Cotton" Robinson and Jay Milton Robinson.  He is survived by 
his wife, Maggie Ellis Robinson, of the home; a son Michael Robinson and his 
wife Diana  and son Ellis, of Asheville, NC; a son, Mitchell Robinson, and his 
wife Sandy and children Alex and Meg, of Johnson City, TN and a grandson, Steve 
Duncan, of Raleigh, NC, and a sister Madge Stewart of  Dundin, Florida. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 20 from 6:30 until 9:00 PM at 
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21 
at 3:00 PM in Bakersville United Methodist Church with Jay Bissett and Billy 
Stewart officiating Interment will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery. Contributions

Bakersville United Methodist Church c/o Patricia Stockton, Kona Rd Bakersville 
NC 28705.
