CHARLES FLOYD RAMSEY

SPRUCE PINE - Charles Floyd Ramsey, 70, of Carpenter Drive, died Friday, 
Apr. 18, 2003 at the Yancey Nursing Center in Burnsville. A native of 
Arizona, he was the son of the late Floyd and Bessie Ramsey. He was 
employed by the Yancey Nursing Center and was a member of Burnsville 
Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughters, Dianna Ramsey of Bakersville, and Mildred 
Swann and Rita Henson, both of Spruce Pine; sons, Lloyd Ramsey of Lake 
Lure, Charles Ramsey of Spruce Pine, and Floyd and James Ramsey, both 
of Newland; a sister, Corrine Hill of Ramona, CA; 15 grandchildren; and 
five great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Luther Carver and Gail Lammey 
officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at 
the funeral home.
