MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Robert "Bob" Riddle, 3 Jun 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Robert "Bob" Riddle, 72, of Pine Mountain Road, died 
Thursday, June 3, 2004 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the 
son of the late Bud and Elizabeth Buchanan Riddle. He was also preceded 
in death by a brother, Duell Riddle. He was a member of Pine Branch 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Cook Riddle of the home; daughters, 
Deborah Buchanan and Robin Townsend, both of Spruce Pine; sons, Stanley 
and Ronnie Riddle, both of Spruce Pine, and Gary Riddle of Bakersville; 
a sister, Joan Pendley of Morganton; brothers, Rev. Howard Riddle of 
Marion, and Billy Riddle of Newland; and seven grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Friday at Pine Branch Baptist Church. 
Rev. Steve Williams officiated. Burial was Saturday in the church cemetery. 
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour at the church. 
Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements
