MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Everett Ernest Riddle, 19 Apr 2005

SPRUCE PINE - Everett Ernest Riddle, 74, of Carters Ridge Road, died Tuesday,
April 19, 2005 at his home. He was the son of the late Ernest and Grace
McKinney Riddle. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ayers, and
a brother, Lenzie Riddle. An Army veteran of WWII, he was a member of Grassy
Creek Baptist Church and the Newland Chapter of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Hall Riddle of the home; daughters, Linda
Barr of Oak Island, and Geraldine Bell of Michigan; a son, Charles Harvey of
Shelby; sisters, Alice Evans of Marion, and Dorothy Brown of Morganton;
brothers, Robert Riddle of Morganton, Glen Riddle of Tennessee, and Frank
Riddle of Spruce Pine; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive
friends at the home from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to
the family. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
