MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Claude Robinson, 22 Dec 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Claude Robinson, 77, of Highway 226, died Wednesday, Dec. 
22, 2004. He was the son of the late Stokes and Lizzie Robinson. He was 
also preceded in death by brothers, Albert and Russell Robinson. He was 
a veteran of WWII, and a member and former deacon of Cub Creek Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Hoilman Robinson of the home; one 
daughter, Claudia Christian of Asheville; five sons, Gary, Larry, Jimmy, 
Johnny and Danny (Moe) Robinson, all of Bakersville; two brothers, Dennis 
and Clifford Robinson of Newton; sisters, Maude Etta Williams of Johnson 
City, TN, Darlene Lanning of Marion, and Kathlene Garland, Jennie Buchanan 
and Estelle Briggs, all of Bakersville; 14 grandchildren; nine great 
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Skip Wieford and Clifford Willis 
officiated. Burial was at 10 a.m. Monday in Slagle Cemetery.
