ETHEL ELIZABETH ROSE 

SPRUCE PINE - Ethel Elizabeth Rose, 88, of Phillips Lane, died Saturday, March
19, 2005 at her home. She ws the daughter of the late Paul Alexander and
Myrtle Weatherman Rose. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth
Rose and Edna Wilson; and brothers, Lamar Rose and James Rose. She was a
member of Spruce Pine United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the Women
Army Corps.

Survivors include a sister, Mable Whitson of Spruce Pine; and several nieces
and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel
of Webb Funeral Home. Rev. Linda Briggs officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine
Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service
hour on Monday.
