Henline-Hughes Funeral Home
Sally Roberts Slagle, age 99 of Wendover Drive Johnson City, TN passed away 
June 14, 2008. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the daughter of the 
late Ed and Nellie Morgan Roberts. She was previously employed at The Grand 
Hotel in Mackinaw Island Michigan. She was a member of Senior Citizens of 
Mitchell County, NC and Red Hill Baptist Church. 

Survivors include; daughter, Jackie Young, of Johnson City, TN, sister, Norris 
D Jarrett, of Burnsville, NC, grandchildren, Gary Young, Ronnie Young, Debbie 
Young, and Mike Slagle, Great Grandchildren, Ashley Young, Melissa Young, Wendi 
Young, and Michaela Slagle. 

She was preceded in death by; husband, Earl Slagle, sons, Carl and Bruce 
Slagle, one daughter in law Zuba Slagle. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 15 from 7:00PM until 8:30PM at 
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16 at 
2:00PM in Red Hill Baptist Church with Randy Wise officiating. The body will 
lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Red Hill 
Baptist Church Cemetery.
