CAROLYN SUE HAYES SPANGLER 

SHELBY - Carolyn (Suzie-Q) Spangler of N. Oak Drive died Saturday, Dec. 30, 
2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, she 
was the daughter of the late John Russell and Virginia Buchanan Hayes. She was 
a retired beautician and a member of Double Shoals Baptist Church. She was 
also a member of the National Humane Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Spangler of Shelby; a brother, Russell 
Franklin Hayes of Bakersville; and a sister, Gail Greene of Bakersville; and 
several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home 
in Shelby. Burial was in Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.Rev. Gerald 
Grindstaff officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Cleveland County 
Humane Society, P.O. Box 2432, Shelby, NC 28151; Hospice and Pallative Care of 
Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150; or to Snow 
Hill Baptist Church in Bakersville.
