FRANK STEWART SR. 

BAKERSVILLE - Frank Stewart Sr., 72, of the Ledger community, died Sunday, 
Nov. 19, 2006 at his home. He was the son of the late George and Rosa 
Elizabeth Butner Stewart. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joey 
Stewart; and two brothers, Harry and Lewis Stewart. He was owner and operator 
of Stewart Insulation for over 40 years and was a member of Bear Creek Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Stewart of Spruce Pine, Tammey 
Stewart of Raleigh, and Lora Watson of Newland; two sons, Lewis Stewart of 
Spruce Pine, and Frank Stewart Jr. of Bakersville; six sisters, Virginia 
Watson, Dorothy Sparks, and Carrie Wise, all of Bakersville, Martha Wright and 
Grace Robinson, both of Valdese, and Mary Farmer of Morganton; four brothers, 
Charles Stewart of Bakersville, George Stewart Jr. of Marion, Tommy Stewart of 
Charlotte, and Jimmy Stewart of Morganton, 17 grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bear Creek Baptist Church. 
Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 
p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Bear Creek 
Baptist Church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine assisted the family.
