BETTY JO DEAN STEWART 

SPRUCE PINE - Betty Jo Dean Stewart, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 at her 
home. She was the daughter of the late Jack L. and Belle B. Dean, and the wife 
of the late Joseph L. Stewart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of 
Spruce Pine.

Survivors include her sons, Joe Stewart of San Antonio, TX, David Stewart of 
Suffolk, VA, Jeff Stewart of Green Mountain, Mark Stewart of Spruce Pine, and 
John Stewart of Iron Station; a brother, George Dean of Newland; 10 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Stuart White officiated. Burial 
followed in the Berry Chapel Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 
p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
