Henline-Hughes Funeral Home (on-line)
Luther Clay Street, age 83 of Hwy 226 North Bakersville, NC passed away June 6, 
2008 at Erwin Health Center in Erwin TN. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC 
and the son of the late Joe and Pearl Harrell Street. He was retired from 
Daniels Construction in Kingsport, TN where he was a Superintendent. He was a 
member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and Gideons International. 

Survivors include; wife, Faye Gouge Street, of the home, daughter, Cathy 
Harrell and husband Boyd, of Bakersville, NC, one grandson, Mike Harrell and 
wife Emily, of Bakersville, NC, two great granddaughters, Chloe, and Kelly 
Harrell, and two sisters, Joyce Masters, and Josie Potter, of Bakersville, NC. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 8th at 7:30 PM in the chapel of 
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Bob McCurry officiating. The family will 
receive friends from 6:00PM until the service time. Interment will be Monday, 
June 9th at 11:00AM at Joe M. Street Cemetery.  Flowers are accepted or 
memorials may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County PO Box 38 Spruce Pine, NC 
28777.
