MARTHA ATLAS STREET 

BAKERSVILLE - Martha Atlas Street, 81, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at her home. 
She was the wife of the late Roy Lee Street. She was also preceded in death by 
one son, R.L. Street.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Frances Hobson; one sister, Myrtle 
Edwards; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Middle District Church. Bud 
Edwards, Steve Miller, Harold Grindstaff, Scotty Jenkins and Buster Yelton 
officiated. Burial followed in Charlie and Frances Street Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial donations may 
be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville assisted the family.
