MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Helen C. Lawrence Shehan, 21 Oct 2004

EVERGREEN, AL - Helen Shehan, 77, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004. A 
member of the Church of God Prophecy in Grove Hill, she operated Spruce 
Pine Cleaners for 16 months after the death of her brother, the late 
Fred Lawrence. She was a supervisor with Knud Nielsen Co. in Evergreen.

Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Shell of Evergreen; a brother, 
Frank Lawrence of Spruce Pine; a sister, Lucy Ogletree of Fort Payne, 
AL; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Monroe Chapel Funeral 
Home. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. The family received friends from 
noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
