BEATRICE GOUGE SILVER

BAKERSVILLE - Beatrice Gouge Silver, 83, of Polly Hollow Road, 
died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Brian Center Healthcare in Spruce 
Pine. She was the daughter of the late Burgin and Retta Greene 
Gouge, and wife of the late James Dellinger. She was also preceded 
ind eath by three sisters, Essie Burleson, Jeanetta Hollar and 
Mable Staton; and one brother, John Pat Gouge. A member of Cane 
Creek Baptist Church, she was retired from Baxter Healthcare.
Survivors include her husband, Claude G. Silver of the home; one 
daughter, Sue Morgan of Bakersville; three sons, Jerry Dellinger 
of Stanley, David Dellinger of Lowell, and Charles Dellinger of 
Concord; two sisters, Thelma Wellborn of Spokane, WA, and Celia 
Clark of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Cane Creek Baptist 
Church. Revs. John Stafford and Mark McKinney officiated. Burial 
followed in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 
6-8 p.m. Sunday at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville.
